Special Interest Group on Big Data (SIG-BD)

Big Data has become an enabling technology to support quantitative analysis of impact of collected data sets as well as business insights from domain and industry driven analytics.

The Special Interest Group on Big Data (SIG-BD) provides a platform for the group members to exchange information, conduct professional collaborations, and promote research and application innovations around the world in the field of Big Data. The technical scope of SIG-BD includes but not limited to big data models and algorithms, big data architectures, big data management, big data protection, big data integrity, big data privacy, big data security, big data search and mining, and big data for enterprise, government, and society.

The SIG-BD promotes creative thinking, long-term visions, and innovative methodologies to respond to the emerging Big Data technologies. The supporting conference is the International Congress on Big Data (BigData Congress, BigDataCongress.org).
