Munindar P. Singh

Cognitive Computing includes all aspects of cognition, computation, and business to understand and engineer effective value-creation. The scope of Cognitive Computing covers but not limited to all acts or processes of knowing, perceiving, judging, reasoning, and associating based on computing platforms and algorithms. The goal of Cognitive Computing is to realize "Sensing Intelligence as a Service" in the era of Internet.

The Special Interest Group on Cognitive Computing (SIG-CC) will define its scope, conduct major technical activities, and create impacts to the society. SIG-CC provides a platform for the group members to exchange information, conduct professional collaborations, and promote research and application innovations around the world in the field of Cognitive Computing.

The SIG-CC promotes creative thinking, long-term visions, and innovative methodologies to respond to the emerging Cognitive Computing technologies. The supporting conference is the International Conference on Cognitive Computing (ICCC, theCognitiveComputing.org).
