Read about the OASIS Open Standards Day Program

The OASIS Open Standards Day has finalized its program for Tuesday November 15th 2005 at ECOWS.

The purpose of the OASIS day is to create awareness of the need for established standards and for these standards to be put to demonstratively good use in the IT industry.
The day will hopefully result in a number of companies wishing to join the proposed Light Standards Consortium, which will be a part of CIESC. Join the workshop hosted by Mikael Boquist and Lars Hornborg to participate in this interesting discussion.

10.00 – 11.30
Opening by Peter Roden presenting the current work of OASIS and Hasse Samuelsson, Svensk Programvaruindustri, will present the progress in Swedish software integration and the Swedish software industry.

13.30 – 14.15
“Recent work in XACML” by Erik Rissanen, SICS
14.15 – 15.00 E-invoicing revolution made possible with UBL and ebXML by Martin Forsberg, Amnis

15.30 – 17.30
Light Standards for the Swedish Industry & Real World Application – a workshop by Mikael Boquist iCore and Lars Hornborg, WSCC about the prospects of the Light Standards project and real world application experiences. The concept of Light Standards as a term describing organized implementation of generic standards in specific, applied scenarios, is the basis for the national Light Standards project in Sweden. The objective is to simplify integration between vendors' business software.
